Useful customs information
If you are sending parcels abroad, customs clearance is always included in the postage, with some exceptions. The correct customs documentation is important to avoid stoppages and delays relating to customs processing.
Below you will see which customs documents are required for your recipient to receive the parcel as quickly as possible:
- Transport label or address card
- At least three copies of the commercial invoice
With the exception of zone 7, the fee for export and import declarations is included in the freight charge. It may be worth considering that in some recipient countries there may be costs for disbursement of import fees; this can also apply to recipients who do not have customs credit.
If you need help filling out the customs documents, you can visit the customs clearance documents page. You can find out more about customs clearance here.
